Self-depuration is a natural process due to the association of several processes of physical nature such as dilution, sedimentation and atmospheric, chemical and biological reaeration such as oxidation and decomposition. In the self-depuration process the released organic loads are neutralized by a phenomenon in which the search for the initial stage found before the discharge of effluents is carried out by essentially natural mechanisms.

Forestry Sector
The land cover and use of a drainage basin, determined mainly by the economic activities developed, directly affect the water quality parameters of its water bodies. The purpose of qualitative monitoring is to evaluate if these economic activities promote occasional contaminations and if, over time, the environment is resilient to these activities. .

The prior knowledge of the natural behavior of certain parameters, called indicators, drastically reduces the number of parameters to be analyzed regularly, reducing costs without affecting the reliability of the monitoring. The critical analysis of its results is fundamental for forest certification, environmental licensing and for the dissemination of operational qualities of the company.
