Service Evolution of diversity

The generation and monitoring of diversity indexes and landscape structure in forest plantations aim the reduction of risks for clonal forestry and its impacts, maintaining productive potential and increasing biological diversity in natural areas and forest plantations. The monitored indexes, based on landscape ecology metrics, seek to contemplate the different variables that compose the landscape formed by commercial plantations and natural areas, considering the clone variation, its age, the natural areas in their different stages and typologies, the proportion occupied in relation to total area and the interfaces (borders) between the natural areas and the plantations.

The diversity index monitoring service offered by AVIX allows the evolution of diversity monitoring by production units and by farm, being a fundamental tool for prioritizing and evaluating the investments made by the company in the environmental area. The annual evaluation cycles generate precise indexes that can be evaluated globally or segmented, making diversity management much more efficient.
